5. Versuch. Die Nachkommen von 40 Pflanzen hatten blos grüne Hülsen, die von 60 Pflanzen theils grüne, theils gelbe.

Translation:

5th trial: The descendants of 40 plants had only green pods, those of 60 plants partly green and partly yellow ones.

Commentary:

The manuscript has a colon after Versuch, which we have reintroduced in our translation, although Mendel did not correct this in his off-print.
